Electrical wiring, an outlet with a tester saying the hot and neutral aree wired backwards?

I have had a recent home inspection and according to the inspector I have an outlet with the hot and neutral reversed, i removed the outlet and it is properly wired however my tester said the same thing. I removed the wires and purposely wired it backwards (white to gold and black to silver. The result was the same according to the tester. Any ideas?

I have a wart on my foot that WONT GO AWAY!?

So I've had this planters wart for as long as I can remember. I'm 15 now and I probably had it since I was 11. And before that I had a different wart. So anyways, when I first got this wart I used a whole bunch of over the counter stuff. I used acid, freezing, a combination, pummus stones, and bandaid things. Then I went to my doctor who burned it. She said it was gone but when my foo healed it was still there. I came back and she said it was almost there and to use over the counter stuff. So I used it (religiously) for months. I came back with another smaller wart. She said shed burn it off again. Instead I went to a podiatrist. By that time I got a third wart. He said it was because of my sweaty feet. Well anyways, he used acid treatments, a combination of solid and liquid acid. I would come every week, he would sc it off and put more acid. It seemed to be working great, he said I'd be done in 4 weeks. So finally he said he saw no more wart, but would put on more acid just in case. But that it would flake off eventually an I didn't need to come back. Well it flaked off (kinda) but the wart was still there. (by the way, I first came to him right before summer started) so I came back and he switched to a prescription foot deodorant thing (formalaz) that was supposed to dry out and kill my wart. He would then sc it off after two weeks and repeat. (I used the formalaz twice a day) it seemed to be working because my wart would come to a huge head (it was painful to walk). But it still didn't go away. So he finally said he thought it was all gone and that I didn't have to come back. Well it's still not gone and I plan to go to a ifferent podiatrist. What should I ask to be done? (since burning and acid didn't work for me)

My puppy get really aggressive! Help?

My puppy BlackJack is starting to get pretty aggressive at times when he's playing or if he's told to not do something or gets angry with me. He's now around 9 weeks old. When you're playing with him he bites really hard and you tell him no and push him away he comes back and just doesn't get the point. When I hold his muzzle and tell him no he gets mad and growls and snaps at me when I let him go. What can I do to train him out of this bad habit? There are no small children in my house but he snaps at and bites everyone very hard when he's playing with us (everyone is 16+). Wow! This is a really long story but I will try to make it understandable. Me and my girlfriend lived in our own apt. with our good friend, who is a female. My gf and the other girl worked together along with this guy. The guy came over at first for the girl, but after awhile we became good friends. Psp screen fades white after sleep?

i have a psp 1001 and it has CFW on it. it works just fine until i start a game. the game works fine but when i put the psp to sleep and then turn it back on the screen is faded white and its really hard to see the game but its still there. its not the CFW because i have it on another psp and it works fine on that one and its not the game because i tried the games on my other psp. i just changed the screen because it was broken. it only does this while playing a game and i can put it to sleep on the main menu and it will work fine. it also works at the very beginning of games when it is showing the companys that helped make the game. any help is appreciated thanks.

Okay Here goes, Im 22 and met my 30 year old husband a year ago in the military. We hit it off and got preg quick. ever since the baby my whole body changed and i have lost most of the weight but still feel very self conscious due to stretch marks and such. Is my baby ready to learn to self settle?

My midwife told me, and I've read in many places, that babies don't have the brain development to self settle until they're 9 months old. My daughter is almost 4 months now, and she's just started falling asleep by herself if I put her in her cot and leave her for a bit. She is a great sleeper, but she has always been a nightmare to settle, so obviously I'd be stoked if she could settle herself now. The only thing is, she's only settling herself some of the time - like once or twice per day. So my question is, should I start deliberately trying to teach her to self settle all the time, or is she still too young?

I am actually drug free, but I am all about the legalization of drugs. I Cactus fell over and limped in one day?

Hi There, I have a 36 inch cactus (don't know what kind...similar to pictures of Cleistocactus Strausii)...had for about 8 years....growing away fine and dandy....then last week it just limped over at the half way point...totally in half. The only thing I can think of is that I had the window open for 0 minutes while I cleaned the window, and it was about 50 outside...but I can't image that that cool ares for such a short time made my cactus fall over like that? 1 pos test 1 i cant tell?

My period was to today oct 10th and anxious to find out if i was pg i took a dollar store test (50 miu from what i read online) right away in the morning and it was a BFN. Then when i got off of work i went and pick up a two pack of the Answer early results test(25 miu or less from what i read) and took one. I got a BFP! It showed up within less than a min and a half. the line was very faint but definitely there! Then anxious to see if id get another BFP i took the 2nd one from the pack about 2 hrs later. and with this one you REALLY have to strain to see the line. is it just cuz of the fact that the hcg in my urine was so diluted since i had peed earlier and then drank a big gl of juice? There's a woman at work that I have to work closely with. She WAS TTC but had two miscarriages. Now that I am pregnant she makes comments daily about how "disgusted she would be" if she was pregnant on the money we make at our job. I, too, coughed a lot when I quit (briefly--say, 6 weeks). I was up nights hacking and, in the end, took cigarettes to repress the coughing! Of course, I'm sorry I did, and now I think I'll try quitting again when I'm on unpaid break from my job & can afford to be hacking for a long period. My coughing was not as bad as yours--and I've smoked mostly Marlboro reds for 40+ years & have had pneumonia twice (& every cold & flu turns into bronchitis). You are brave! an inspiration! Presumably the coughing up will subside. Still, maybe someone (a doctor?) knows of something to protect your tissues while you're going through this... I'm sorry, I don't know. But I ume it's better to cough that stuff out than to not cough it out (unless you're coughing up tissue). I could suggest drinking sage tea etc. to help purify but it seems that the chunks of stuff are extreme... Good luck & congratulations!

Just wondering if anyone out there would like to share a horror story with me. I'm currently pulling a 24 hr. shift with the world's most obnoxious staff sergeant. probably not very well. that HP is not a gaming laptop and not designed to handle games very well, especially newer games. your graphics card is an Intel 4 series chipset which really isnt that great for gaming at all. it could handle older games like age of empires and guild wars and stuff alright but probly not games like fallout 3 and sims 3 and the newer ones. look into getting a gaming laptop if you want a laptop to play games. email me if you have any more questions.

Supernatural season finale.?

What did you guys think of the ending and over all season? I liked the season except all the fillers. They portrayed Lucifer perfectly. You expect the devil to be the most evil thing ever, but he's still an angel and he's very honest and still feels for his family. But he's also insane and wants to kill everyone. As for the finale, the ending was good, but I disappointed. they should have made it a two part thing, or two hour episode. They really rushed everything. You expect a big showdown between Lucifer and Michael. They really should have worked harder. I also think it would have been so cool if Castiel turned out to be God. What are your thoughts on Chuck at the end? Did he ascend to heaven? Is he an angel? Is he God? They're planned seemed to not work on Lucifer. Can we expect the long awaited showdown with Michael? What do you want and expect from the next season. Other then the fillers I have to admit the season was really good, the last episode was kind of a bust, but the ending was really sad. I was almost gonna cry when Dean was lying down all bloody and sad. Give me your opinions?

Need advice...5 month old wanting bottle to fall asleep?

I say just let him have the bottle our twins are that way and I am not about to fight it with twins. I'll stop it when we get them completely off the bottle. If your really concerned about this and want to break the habit this age is great age to introduce self soothing. Basically wait till your little one is so tired, full and has a clean diaper and lay him down in his crib awake. If he is really tire he will only cry for about 15 min and be asleep. Start this at night first for the first 2-3 days and then start with the naps. I did this with our son at 5 months and it only took 3-4 days and he was a great self soother. I could just lay him down in crib and with in 5 min of no crying or fussing he would be asleep.

Well, think of it this way. If YOU were the one who had been nominated to collect the money and buy the tickets, wouldn't you feel it to be your duty to show copies every single time you bought the tickets? It's part of her job. She should realize that everyone has trust in her, and that out of respect for everyone involved she should be doing exactly what you guys asked her to. Don't feel bad, I'm not even part of your situation and I'm feeling nervous for you. I think SOMEONE needs to approach her now! Why don't you guys just sit down and do this as a group? That way she can see how upset everyone is over this. Explain that she's made up too many excuses over not providing copies of the tickets. Explain that if she doesn't start providing copies, then someone else will be in charge of collecting the money. Don't be worried about hurting her feelings, she's not showing you guys the respect you deserve. It's your money, and those are your tickets. Why do some people stop watches?

When I was a kid I couldn't wear a wind up watch.....it would stop within a half hour and not start again until someone else wore it for awhile. I am not on drugs, not claiming to be psychic, no seizures or anything like that. This has always been a curiousity of mine......is it healthy? Could I be more susceptible to some illness or more immune perhaps? I also don't have any fillings...never ever had a cavity. (it is like I am immune to them) I didn't even brush my teeth all the time when I was young and ate as much crap as anyone else. Hey, maybe getting fillings changes the electrical field in your body? Just two weird things I have always wondered about.

Why am I paying a huge fine that I didn't comply to?

In 2007, I worked at a close out store as a cashier. In the months I was working there, my friend "Bob" wanted to steal items of the store and sell them. He ured me that I wouldn't have anything to do with what he was doing. I would basically have to be the lookout. Sadly, I agreed. He took items such as cheap jeans, shirts, house ware items, and purses. I ended up getting involved by putting things in reach where he could get them. A month later, a loss prevention agent came in and review the surveillance of the store. The noticed him taking the items out of the store and they knew he was a friend of mine because he always bring me lunch at work. So the LP wanted me to help set him up. They wanted me to take the alarms off the items and put them in reach so he could get caught. They had a police officer in the back and some up front waiting for the que. However the police up front arrive to early and he got suspicious and left the items at the store and walked out. The police chased him down and confronted him with the evidence they found and told him he was banned from the store. Then a month later, the district manager and two other LP's I never seen before walked in and told me to come with them. I went into the back office with them and they started asking me how I knew him and how did the whole "sting" worked out. I told them what I wanted them to know and left the me out.. I knew it didn't make it right to help him steal but I didn't take anything out of that store. So then, the agent told me I was lying to him and if I didn't confess that I isted him, they would put me in jail for 5 years. He told me they already knew about me helping him. They told me what I did, but they never showed footage or present any evidence to show my involvement. The agent wanted me to be honest and tell them everything..Once I told them verbally about what happened, they wanted me to write a summary the same way it was told. I complied and tried my best to cooperate with them. They told me that I had three options. (1) Go to jail for 5 years (2) Fire me and ban me from the premises or (3) Pay the restitution for the items stolen. I agreed with the 2nd option. Then the agent asked me how much items did he Bob took from the store. I told them he was about $2000 worth. So the agent tried to come up with an equation about the stolen items. Then he told me to never talk to Bob again about them confronting me in the store. He said if I did, they would come after me and arrest me. A few months later after the incident, I got a letter in the mail from Palmer, Reifler, and ociates. The letter said they were representing Burke's Outlet and they were making me pay a restitution of $42,000!!! They said if I didn't, they would pursue the actions filed against me. Let me set the record straight, yeah what I did was wrong, but I NEVER stole anything out of that store. I never got arrested, it didn't got put on my record, I never went to court, and I most definitely never signed any paper work saying that I had to pay or owed them this huge amount of money. I had 30 days to respond to the letter..so I called the law office and they told me I could make a payment arrangement. Currently, I've already paid them about $1000..If I miss any payments, they call my phone or send me letters threatening me to go to court. I really don't know what to do..but I feel like I'm being taken advantage of considering the fact that Burke's never told me anything about restitution. Am I being swindled?

How have people helped you most when you're grieving?

My mom told me of an awful tragedy this morning. A friend of my cousin's was shot and killed by her husband, and then he shot himself. They were separated, and he was bringing the kids back from the weekend. The kids were in the back yard playing when he did it. They are young...the oldest is not even 10. I didn't know them well, but my cousin is in pieces. I feel so sad, and can't imagine the pain the family is in. We share the same faith, and I know she believes in the resurrection...but even with that comfort, there of course is still such heartache....I can't take the pain away, but what has helped y'all in times of sadness and grief?

I am using XP on a network laptop. When I clean out my recent doents shortcuts, it is fine. But when I reboot onto the network, the shortcuts all reappear as if they were never deleted. Are they being refreshed from somewhere in Windows, Office? not sure what is going on. Can anyone help?

Valves bent after timing belt broke..better to repair valves or replace the engine with a used engine? 94Honda

I was told if I replace the valves, the car will never run properly. Will have to constantly add oil and I will have to deal with black smoke coming from the exhaust. It is a 94' Honda Prelude. Perfect condition otherwise. This will cost approx. $1400. On the other hand replacing the engine will run me almost $2500. I found one that has 40,000 miles on it. I would like to have the car last me another 2-5 years. Any thoughts, experiences, suggestions? thanks very much!

When i come across books like satanic verses and da vinci code i often wonder why did people over react on what is written in the books. Often due to this the authors indepenence and freedom of speech is lost. I would not say writers are always correct but everybody has rights to express his views. My idea is to build a database of challenged and controversial books and form an reading and discussion groups and the motive of this group would be to encourage to respect other persons views and to encourage to exhibit torence even when the other persons is wrong. I am so weary of this and I dont know what to do?

First of all I am being treated for an anxiety disorder. Also I have just been diagnosed with sleep apnea from a deviated septum. I am a university student in grad school and the symptoms have been going on for 2 months now. Sleep apnea has cause svere sleep deprivation and being sick all the time because the sleep deprivation has weakened my imune system. I am getting surgery in a month to correct this problem but it is making it hard to perform at my best at schoool which is really stressing me out. It takes three seperate alarm clocks to wake me up in the morning. This morning I was a little late getting up. My dad is staying with us for two weeks till he gets an appartment in the city (parents are divorced). My dad doesnt think sleep apnea is a real condition and got angry when I got up 1/2 an hour late so he sprayed me in the face with water 'to wake me the hell up' and then said that i might as well quit school at this point if I cant even hack it. then he started freaking out and yelling and throwing some of my books in the garbage can and ripping my notes. I was too upset to go to cl this morning and scared of what he would do to the rest of my belongings. My father has an explosive temper and it makes me very anxious but my mother does not seem to see this. I really just want my father out of the house because i know that anything I say could potentially trigger an outburst. My mother did nothing. I have already missed cles for my illness and thats kind of a big deal in grad school since the cles are seminars so what am i supposed to tell my professor about today? I am not depressed just very weary of my situation. I long for sleep all the time.
